Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Care

PRESENTER: Rachel Waddell, M.Div, CDP, CADDCT is a Dementia Coach/Consultant/Trainer and director of Elder Guidance Service, LLC. With over 25 years of experience working in home health, and in Memory Care/LTC communities as Program Director and Hospice Chaplain, Rachel has helped numerous clients and their families navigate the journey of dementia. She is a Certified Alzheimer's disease and Dementia Care Trainer and Certified Dementia Practitioner through the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners.

WHO Should Attend: This is open to all health care professionals and those who work in various professions on the front lines, including, but not limited to: Pharmacist, Nurse, Social Services, CNAs, Administrators, OT, PT, Speech therapy, Home Health Aide, Activities, Clergy, Consultants, Professors, Ombudsman, Area Agency on aging staff, state surveyors and inspectors, etc. *Family caregivers are also welcome to attend for the information and education to assist them in understanding and caring for a loved one.

This is the required seminar for those pursuing CDP certification and who qualify through the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners. To see if you qualify, please visit the NCCDP website at www.nccdp.org or, just come for the education.

Student handout notebook provided.
